Use the following steps to assign a different number for a flash drive:

 
1.  
   Click on the Start button (Search Computer on Windows 8).
    
 
2.  
   Right click on the option labeled My Computer or Computer.
    
 
3.  
   Click on Manage.
    
 
4.  
   Select Disk Management on the left side of the Computer Management window that will open up,
    
 
5.  
   On the right side of that same screen, locate your flash drive.
    
 
6.  
   Right click on your flash drive.
    
 
7.  
   Click on Change Drive Letter and Paths.
    
 
8.  
   Click on the Change button.
    
 
9.  
   Pick another letter, then click OK and the operation is complete.
